This page is devoted to the proposed Compass Music and Arts Center. It is a temporary site which will keep you updated on progress until we go 'live'.

The Center is to be located in the picturesque Park Village on the edge of Brandon, Vermont.

The Center will be housed in a renovated building which was formerly part of Brandon Training School. Built in 1962, the building is scheduled as of Historic Architctural Interest. Work is just starting on the refurbishment.
Major funding applications are to be made by means of grant applications, and private and commercial sponsorship and support, in order to turn this dream into a reality. The building is structurally in surprisingly good order but having been abandoned since 1994 needs some major work including the re-installation of all plumbing and heating systems, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and so on.
The Center is to include: 250-seat concert/activity hall (expandable to 400 later); recital and rehearsal rooms; jazz lounge; music teaching and therapy areas; artist's studios' gallery and display areas; sculpture park; dance school; recording studio; retail units to rent; cinema/film room; phonograph/radio museum; bistro/restaurant and take-out sandwich/bakery; and more. We will specialize in classical music but wil be open to all genres.

The building is owned by Diversions LLC (Brandon Music/Divine Art Record Company) which will occupy part for its own offices, and is sponsoring and promoting the Center. However the Center itself will be operated by Compass Music and Arts Foundation, Inc. This non-profit foundation will offer memberships, and hopes to raise sufficient funds to grant scholarships and to sponsor multi-national music and arts programs.

More details of the center's plans and how you can take part will be added here soon.

This site is temporarily managed by Diversions LLC (Brandon Music) on behalf of Compass Music and Arts Foundation, Inc.
